If you, with "cheating", meant bannable, then yeah, I agree sharpies and monitor overlays won't lead to a ban, while an overlay might. I personally don't see the difference with crosshairs and sharipes either: the difference is the owner risking damaging their monitor. Additional, where is the line drawn? Is glitching your cursor with the discord overlay cheating, or is that acceptable? Should we buy monitors with crosshairs because it is acceptable? The argument of downloaded programs vs monitors is hypocritical, from my point of view at least. I just don't see how a crosshair with a monitor is fine because it is a package deal.
This is stretching it far, but some people did have the mentality of "it wasn't cheating because it was a part of the hardware".
